Comments:
White Bear Lake is a popular angling lake. Largemouth bass are the favorite target of summer angling. Northern pike are easily caught, but they tend to be small (18 - 22 inches). Walleye angling is better early in the season and in the fall. Anglers should be prepared to compete with recreational boaters, especially during weekends and holidays.
Ice fishing is also popular on this lake. Panfish, northern pike and walleye are all popular targets of ice anglers on White Bear. Anglers traveling on the ice should do so with caution as springs are present. Open water areas may be present as a result

mnlakeplace.com gunflint trail-Grand Marias-fishing-boundry waters mn
We just returned from gunflint trail. Gunflint Trail is north of Grand Marais Minnesota and located in Cook County. There are many lakes on gunflint trail. We fished Saganaga lake . We caught a few fish within our day. Saganaga lake is in the Boundry waters area. A permit is needed to fish or use a motor on that specific lake. The park only lets a limited amount of motorized boats on the lake. So get a permit early. Saganaga lake is amazing. There are minimum homes on the lake so you get to experience nature at its best. You can see Eagles, Bears, Moose, loons, foxes and many other animals. We did see a moose and a fox. That was one of the biggest highlights of our vacation up north.
http://www.mnlakeplace.com did a lot of exploring and hiking. The forests, water falls, lakes and rivers in Northern Minnesota are beautiful. The leaves are turning now to add to the beauty of the dense forests. The national parks are well maintained and the lakes are very clean and clear.
Gunflint trail is about 20 minutes north of Grand Marias mn, about a 2-hour drive from Duluth mn and 4.5 hour drive from St.Paul and Minneapolis. We highly recommend going up to northern Minnesota. It has so many lakes to choose from the resorts are reasonable. If you go after October the rates are usually lower due to the weather but October is beautiful. The leaves are still changing highlighting the beautiful scenery. Just remember to bring warm clothes. It can get cold at night up in Grand Marais or the gunflint trail area.

Selling mn lake homes tip by mnlakeplace.com
1. Make sure home is in showing condition. Clean entire home inside and out. Make sure the windows are clean, carpet is clean remove clutter.
2. Fresh paint can go along way touch up areas where paint is in needed.
3. Clean out the yard: Remove clutter too many lake homes have old equipment and items that take up space. Buyers wont buy the lake home or lake lot if they have to come in and remove old debris.
4. Clean up the brush: Many lake homes and lake lots are over grown and it is difficult for buyers to walk through the land and see what is actually there.
The buyer should be able to walk down to the lake to see the lakeshore.
5. Remove dead trees: Dead trees can be an eye sore and a hassle for buyers remove.
6. Create views of the water: If you can’t see the lake buyers won’t purchase it. Please see county or Dnr for trimming trees or removing brush. The DNR and most counties will let you thin out the trees to see the lake.
7. Dock: Having a dock out is very important. Buyers love to walk out on the dock to see the lake, lake views, lake bottom. See DNR or county on cleaning lakeshore. Cleaning the lakeshore will require a permit and you may only clean a percentage of it. Wetlands you will need approval. VERY IMPORTANT. Always get a permit there are companies who will spray for weeds and know the laws. They will also file for the permit for you.
8. The Yard: Remember when the buyer or buyers pulls up to the lake home they picture themselves pulling up to their lake home so if the yard needs extensive work it may be a turn off. Make sure you trim all the bushes, mow the lawn, and spray for bugs.
9. Please remember to help take care of the environment when doing any of the cleaning of the yard or lakeshore. Thank you.
