Big Marine Park Reserve opens to public

Big Marine Park reserve opened saturday June 7, 2008 with more than 1,000 contributing to the celebration. sven sundgarrd from kare 11 metorologist news was on the scene. The park when it is completes will span over 1800 acres.  Right now the  park includes a boat launch with 2 docks, a state of the art play ground with a climbing rock and 18foot slide, picknic areas with tables and grills,several walking and hiking trails. Big Marine lake is the 5th largest lake in the twin cities area. Big Marine lake is one of the cleanest lakes in the twin cities it has a water clarity in the 9s. The fishing is great alot of little ones but at least you can take the kids out and have a great time. The quality of life in Washington county is very high. They did a survey and 94% of the residents in washington feel the qaulity of life is good. http://www.mnlakeplace.com
